Vertical Joy Fold Card
More images from Close to my Heart's (CTMH) "Beary Busy" stamp set. So cute! I finished coloring the bear, or so I thought, but then I told myself that if that bear had been gardening, the overalls would not be so clean! It was amusing to add "dirt" to the denim.
Heidi Swapp cardstock is featured, and I used the Spellbinders Deckled Rectangle Nestabilities set to cut the decorative cardstock. Martha Stewart's embossed button punch made the accent I used to hold the flap closed. Like the baby shower card in an earlier post, this finished card measures 6" square.

Copics with CTMH's "Beary Busy" Image
I bought this set of stamps because I thought that they would be good coloring candidates! The sentiment at the bottom of the card is part of the set. The Deckled Rectangles Nestabilities set from Spellbinders did a good job cutting out the green decorative paper and embossing it.
I added accents with a white gel pen and Stardust glitter pen (on the headlamps).

Baby Shower Table Decoration: A Silhouette made with my Silhouette!
The figure is in mint green and is about 11" high. Cut heavyweight (Bazzill) brown cardstock into strips 12" x 2.5" (two per decoration). Cut just a little more than halfway across the brown strip at the 2" mark. Folded each strip 2" above the partial cut. Glued the mint green silhouettes starting at the fold; top of the brown strip came to about her neck. Connected the two strips at the partial cut point (made it easy to fold flat for carrying to the shower location). Used glue dots at her head and neck to secure.

Joy Fold Card
I first learned of the Joy Fold Card while perusing one of the Magnolia stamp blogs. It intrigued me and I decided to try making one! Following the instructions on the Splitcoast Stampers site, I made an A2-sized one, but decided I needed to make a larger one, because many people would be signing it. I pulled out those old math skills and figured out how to enlarge it. These photos are from the larger version, which was for a co-worker's baby shower.

Easel Cards!
Oh, my goodness, how I love the look of these cards, and they are so simple to make! They are perfect for showcasing a lovely image that you have colored with Copic markers, or maybe a special quote or Bible verse. Hop on over to the Splitcoast Stampers web site to see the terrific instructions that Beate Johns posted. I would have been making these ages ago, had I any idea how great they were!
Another handy thing about this card is that you can easily adjust the instructions to fit any size card. The card above with the bear measures 5 1/2" x 4 1/4", and the hummingbird card is 5 1/2" square.
We will be making easel cards at the June Stamp Club meeting at The Scrapbook Page on June 8--maybe you can join us?
The Martha Stewart Score Board makes prepping this so easy! I went to town coloring the images with Copic markers, and used Martha Stewart edge punches and around-the-page punches (these are terrific!) to dress them up a bit.
The Copic Invasion
Can you spell Addiction?
It's all Julie Case's fault--she did a make-and-take at The Scrapbook Page that used Copic markers to make a cute card (www.juliecasedesigns.blogspot.com/). Then I took a full-blown class on Copic Cards from her (the card you see here with the ladybug and the bee is inspired by one she did).
The card with the long-stemmed flowers is the result of following directions on a handout I got at Michael's.
Once again, you can see Spellbinders Nestabilities Label dies and Martha Stewart edge punches in use. I also have become quite a fan of Martha Stewart's Scoring Board, both for simple scoring to facilitate card-folding, but also for making custom envelopes.
As you can see on some of these photos, I like to decorate the envelope with some element from the card: embossing, decorative paper, stamped image, etc.
